We’re so excited to welcome 2 new members to our Board of Directors! First up, we’d like to introduce you to Reed Mayfield, a Senior Lending Associate at RSF Social Finance, a nonprofit financial services organization. Get to know a little more about him by reading our questionnaire!
Where did you grow up?
In a town outside of Fort Worth TX – playing baseball, hiking, camping, fishing, and building things.
What is your favorite art form?
What college did you attend and what did you study?
Tarleton State University, a division of A&M – I studied Marketing, Business, and Sociology
Do you have a favorite quotation?

Any career highlights you’d like to share? What are you currently doing?
I have enjoyed aligning my personal interest and passions for the Arts at RSF Social Finance (http://rsfsocialfinance.org/). In my role I am fortunate to engage with arts organization leaders and entrepreneurs – they are some of the kindest, smarted, most motivated people I have ever talked to.
If you could go anywhere on vacation, where would it be?
Nepal! The mountains and biodiversity there are amazing and I’d love to experience a trip there.
What inspired you to join the Workshop’s Board of Directors?
The work both in depth and reach is incredible. The care and thought put into the development of programing is evident – the benefits to the community are countless in regards to both the short-term and long-term results as well as to the entire community of children growing into adulthood, artists, schools, and others.
What are your hobbies?
I enjoy playing guitar, hiking, travelling, reading, and enjoying adventurous times with friends and family!
Do you have a favorite book?
No – there are so many good ones. Big fan of Michener, Huxley, Steinbeck, Kerouac, and countless others!
