8 Things About Our Summer Development and Communications Intern, Feibi McIntosh!

“Till the onset of a food coma, just keep eating.” -Feibi McIntosh, Development and Communications Intern

Feibi McIntosh is our resident Industrious Intern for the summer. Here are eight things you need to know about Feibi:

1) WHERE DO YOU LIVE?:

Born and raised in the city fog of San Francisco; currently reside in the Los Angeles smog, where I attend the University of Southern California.

2) CAREER HIGHLIGHTS + WHAT YOU’RE CURRENTLY  DOING:

Aside from winning the safety poster concert in the second grade, my career highlights are a minimum. I do have experience in every art form; from woodblock printmaking to jewelry fabrication — you name it — I’ve done it.

3) TWO ALBUMS YOU CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT:

At this point in my life, I am obsessed with Alex Clare’s “Lateness of the Hour.” But to reel in a can’t-live-without-album, I would have to say the Simon and Garfunkel’s soundtrack to the Graduate.

4) FAVORITE BOOK TO BRING TO THE PARK:

The Brief and Wonderous Life of Oscar Wao by Junot Diaz – a phenomenal read. I would recommend this novel to the entirety of the world.

5) PERSONAL MANTRA:

Till the onset of a food coma, just keep eating.

6) FAVORITE RESTAURANT:

Foreign Cinema and/or Kingdom of Dumpling (when attending these restaurants, this is where the personal mantra comes into play).

7) FAVORITE SHOP:

Scroungers’ Center for Reusable Art Parts (SCRAP) – a Bayview/Hunter’s Point delight! Cheap art supplies to satisfy any artistic pursuit.

8) WHAT DO YOU MISS FROM YOUR HOMETOWN?

When living in LA, I miss composting and drinking straight from the tap — Hetch Hetchy water is most utterly incomparable.
